Why a tower?
Each block of the towner represents a different part of your work. As AI comes into the workplace, you pull out traditional blocks and replace with AI-powered one.
The goal is to make the tower stronger, stable, efficient. If you pull the wrong block or you don’t place the new one carefully, the whole thing comes crashing down. BUT, with any great tower build, it takes strategy, precision and careful planning.
Ultimately, the tower stands when AI is fully integrated, staff are trained and the nonprofit is position for long-term success.
But in this version, you win this game by simply getting started.
As the nonprofit leader, your hands move the pieces.
We will be there to support your arm.

Immediate ROI from AI Certification for Nonprofits
Background:
A seasoned nonprofit consultant specializing in small communities and economic development enrolled in the AI Certification for Nonprofits. She wanted to build her AI fluency and position herself as a leader in a rapidly evolving field.
Challenge:
She was unsure how AI tools could directly apply to nonprofit operations. She needed to validate her AI knowledge to create new opportunities for her consulting business. She approached a local foundation she had worked with previously, sharing her plans to invest in AI education. Intrigued by the idea and impressed by the certification's value, the foundation reimbursed her expenses as part of their 2025 initiative to bring AI training to nonprofits in the region.
Result:
After successful completion of the certification, the foundation hired her to consult on a new program. Over the next year, she will coach 8-10 nonprofits on AI integration. The certification validated her commitment.
"It was great to actually have to do the work and be responsible for making it happen in 'fake life.' That’s the issue I have with workshops—it all sounds great, and then I don't do anything with it. This was different. I feel more confident knowing that that's a lot of what this work is. It's just playing with it, continually prompting, and being better every time. The fact that you focused on the nonprofit piece of it, I think it's helpful. That's the world I work in, and that's what they need—support. Having the certification sold them (foundation) on the fact that I wasn't just saying I know AI. I would definitely recommend this to others." ~Certified AI Consultant for Nonprofits
How do you use ChatGPT for grant writing?
This is the #1 question we get from nonprofit leaders. Grant writing is time consuming and a lot of nonprofits do not have someone dedicated to this task. Grant writing can be a great way to get started using generative AI.
You want to ensure ethical use of AI when writing grants. Read the funders requirements to see if use of generative AI eliminates you from the process.
Use ChatGPT to generate initial drafts for grant proposals. Input details about your organization, project, and funding goals, as well details about the funder and the grant — and let the AI create a structured proposal that you can refine.
We often work with nonprofit leaders on building a custom GPT based on past successful proposals and your organization’s unique institutional knowledge. This way ensures the grant narratives align with your mission, voice, and funding priorities, saving time and maintaining consistency.
To do this, you need the paid version of ChatGPT so you can train it on institutional knowledge. Upload previously written grants, mission statements, and organizational data to create a searchable database. This ensures that grant writers, both current and future, have quick access to historical knowledge but also that the AI is unique to your organization.
